Back-to-school is the perfect time to educate your children about healthy eating and good habits. Today we present a free healthy eating chart for children titled “I Tried Something New.” Also included, are a few coloring sheets to help illustrate the fact that nutritious foods can be fun!

The reward chart covers four weeks, and there are two opportunities for your child to try a new food each day. Simply have them color in one of the apples (or use a sticker) every time they try something new, and when they’ve filled in the appropriate amount of apples, they earn a reward. Our rewards are generally things like movie nights, staying up 15 minutes late, cooking with Mom, and other experiences as opposed to monetary rewards (though those work well for motivation, too!).
Vegetables help keep you healthy, and they’re even more fun when they’re in the form of a cute coloring sheet!
What’s Your Favorite Fruit? (I ♥ apricots and berries!)
Dairy products provide calcium and help build strong teeth and bones – your little ones are sure to remember that key fact after they’ve colored this coloring page!
