Fun gender reveal party ideas – your friends and family are going to love these cute ideas for discovering and sharing your baby’s gender! Free printable invitation too!
Gender reveal parties are a relatively new concept, so for those of you who haven’t heard of this trend yet, it’s a celebration where friends and family gather together to find out if Mom-to-Be’s baby is a boy or a girl. More often than not, the baby’s parents learn the sex of their baby at the same time as their party guests. It’s a fun way to discover your baby’s gender and to share that moment with your family and friends. (Seriously, why do these fun baby trends keep popping up after I’m already done having babies?! Gah!)
There are lots of creative ideas and ways in which the gender can be revealed. Many of the ideas involve baked goods with pink or blue colored filling, but I think that if you’re going to take the time to throw a gender reveal party, the gender reveal idea should POP!
What You’ll Need:
- Balloon Time Helium Tank
- 36″ Black Balloon
- (8-10) 12″ Pink and Blue Balloons
- Tissue Paper Confetti (in colors to match the baby’s gender)
I made heart shaped confetti using a heart shaped paper punch and assorted blue colored tissue paper. It was SUPER easy peasy, and I made an entire cup full of adorable confetti in about 5 minutes.
I made a paper funnel and used it to pour the heart shaped confetti into the black balloon. You could also use a regular funnel, just make sure that the hole is wide enough for your confetti to fit through! The neck on the big balloon is super wide, so it’s a breeze to fill up!
Use the Balloon Time helium tank to fill up the big black balloon along with a bunch of pink and blue 12″ balloons. Tie the balloons with string, and bundle them together.
I added a couple of shiny gold tassels to the black balloon for some extra pizzazz!
When it’s time for the reveal, simply pop the big balloon…
SO much fun, right?! Who wouldn’t love to learn and reveal their baby’s gender in a shower of colorful heart confetti?!
