The holiday season is upon us, so this month’s SVG collection is all about Christmas ornaments! We’re sharing 11 Free Christmas Ornament SVG files to make your season brighter!
This month, I designed a beautiful 3D star ornament SVG file that reminds me of the Star of Bethlehem. Designed to be cut with your Glowforge or other laser cutter, this 3D star ornament cuts beautifully from wood, MDF, and acrylic.
What’s a Glowforge?
Glowforge is a powerful CO2 laser cutter that uses a focused beam of light as fine as a human hair to cut and engrave a wide variety of materials with extreme precision. From wood to glass and plastic to leather, the Glowforge can do it all…and then some!
If you don’t have a Glowforge yet and are considering a purchase, make sure to read our guide to Everything You Need to Know Before Buying a Glowforge for lots of helpful information and a Glowforge discount that can save you up to $500 on your Glowforge!

- Glowforge (Basic, Plus, or Pro) or other laser cutter

This file is designed to be cut with a laser cutter and 1/8″ thick materials. Materials marked as 1/8″ in thickness can have some degree of variance in the actual width, so you may need to slightly adjust the ornament size smaller or larger for the best fit.
The two cut pieces slide together to form the 3D star ornament. Easy peasy!
If your materials adjustment is precise and snug, you won’t even need any glue to hold things together.
If you do need a dab of glue, though, I recommend using Gorilla Wood Glue on wood/MDF or Weld-On for acrylic.
Paint the stars (or use colored acrylic) to match your Christmas décor and color palette! These 3D stars will look incredible on your Christmas tree this year!
