This bright and colorful craft room is the perfect space for creating!
I’m almost finished with my new craft room loft, and I can’t wait to share the final reveal with you in another week or two. In the meantime, I put together this sneak peek of some of the main elements and some of the places where I found inspiration for the space. It’s colorful, cheery, and perfect for getting my creative juices flowing!
I decided that I wanted a huge pegboard after seeing this pretty one from Dawn Nicole Designs. I took mine to the next level by creating an entire pegboard WALL with loads of hooks, shelves and baskets. You’re going to be amazed when you see the final reveal!
This DIY Craft Room Desk by I Heart Naptime (using plans by Ana White) was the inspiration for my craft room desk. To save time, I used Closetmaid shelves as the base of the desk, and filled the cubbies with Martha Stewart fabric storage bins (in seaglass color) to hold all of my crafting odds and ends.
These Carlisle stools (from Target) are the perfect accompaniment to our DIY desk (and in my favorite color, too!).
While I was at Target, I also picked up these cute grey and white striped curtains.
This Closetmaid storage cabinet is perfect for storing all of my paper, vinyl, and scrapbooking supplies. We modified it just a bit to include a couple of extra shelves on the side that was originally designed for hanging clothing.
The RÅSKOG cart from Ikea is a must-have quintessential piece of craft room storage and organization. I store all of my chalk paint in mine, along with most of my pens and markers (in cute mason jars, of course!).
I’ve had this Lulu & Georgia Painted Desert Rug on my wishlist for ages, so it had to make an appearance in my craft room space!
Here’s a sneak peek at the pegboard wall, along with my Washi Tape Vintage Storage Crate and rainbow color coded organization. There is a LOT of rainbow colored goodness in the space!
Hey, Let’s Make Stuff used this metal rack from World Market to organize all of her fat quarters by color, and I LOVE this idea! I’m not sure if I can find any more wall space for this in my craft room, but it’s definitely on my wishlist!
Be sure to check back in a bit for the full reveal of the room! I can’t wait to share it with you!
