Guess who’s having a birthday this month…yep, it’s ME! I also happen to share my birthday month with Krispy Kreme, which is perfect since donuts and I tend to go hand-in-hand. For as long as I can remember, I’ve always answered the “what’s your favorite food?” question with “donuts.” They definitely have my heart.
(Side note: which spelling do you use – donut or doughnut? Krispy Kreme makes doughnuts, but I always use the other spelling!)
Instead of a traditional birthday cake, I’m requesting a donut cake this year. Easy to make (just stack ’em up!), easy to serve, and totally fabulous! Krispy Kreme has been serving up all kinds of yummy donuts for 78 years (wow!), but the Original Glazed, Chocolate Iced Glazed and Chocolate Iced Glazed with Sprinkles are my favorites. Gotta love the classics!
Just in time for our co-birthday celebration, Krispy Kreme is also offering a limited-time Birthday Cake Batter doughnut that totally rocks – it tastes like it’s filled with cake batter!
The delicious Birthday Cake Batter doughnut is filled with a blend of Kreme and birthday cake batter flavored filling, and topped with cheerful yellow icing and bright confetti sprinkles. They also have a Brownie Batter version for chocoholics! They’re seriously a dream come true for kids (and grown-up kids, too!)! These special treats are only available until August 31st while supplies last, so hurry to your nearest store! (not valid at grocery or convenience stores + Connecticut and Puerto Rico locations)
Krispy Kreme is also offering a limited-time Birthday Cake Batter Chiller – a sweet, creamy cupcake flavored iced beverage topped with whipped cream and sprinkles. My four-year-old thinks the Birthday Cake Batter Chiller is the most incredible treat in the world!
My nine-year-old says that his favorite is the Brownie Batter doughnut – it tastes just like licking the brownie bowl!
