St. Patrick’s Day Kids Craft: Leprechaun Treat Cups
St. Patrick’s Day is coming up soon, and these cute Leprechaun Hat Treat Cups pull double duty as both a fun St. Patrick’s Day craft for kids to make and also as a tasty holiday treat! Perfect for teachers in the classroom, Scouts, and more!
Supplies Needed for Leprechaun Hat Treat Cups:
- Green Paper Cups
- Black, Light Green, and Dark Green Craft Foam (can also use Cardstock or Heavy Construction Paper)
- Gold Glitter Paper
- Cricut Maker or Explore Air 2 Cutting Machine (optional) or Scissors
- Glue or Tape (we recommend a Low-Temperature Glue Gun or Quick-Dry Tacky Glue)
- Treat Mix – we used Gold Caramel Chocolates, Rainbow Jelly Beans, and Popcorn
Use your Cricut machine and this Leprechaun Hat Treat file to cut your pieces from the materials. If you don’t have a cutting machine, you can also easily cut these by hand with scissors or a craft knife.
Note: If using the Cricut Maker to cut craft foam, I recommend using the “Flex Foam” setting with the Rotary Blade. If using the Cricut Explore Air 2, I recommend the “Craft Foam” setting with the Deep-Point Blade.
Use your adhesive of choice to add the pieces on to the paper cups.
Fill the cups up with your favorite rainbow-themed snacks and treats!
We used Gold Caramel Chocolates, Rainbow Jelly Beans, and Popcorn to fill our treat cups, but there are SO many different options!
Pretzels, Skittles, M&M’s, Rolos, and Rainbow Airheads would also make a fun rainbow treat mix!
These adorable leprechaun hat treat cups are the perfect St. Patrick’s Day kids craft for class parties, Scout meetings, church groups, and more! Quick, easy-to-make, and super duper cute! After the kids have crafted their leprechaun hats, the teacher or group leader can fill each of the cups with the yummy treat mix.
