These sweet flower Oreo cookies are a delicious springtime or Easter treat! Plus get ten more edible flower recipes that are perfect for spring!
This month the #CreativeFoodies whipped up some yummy flower-shaped treats and goodies that are just as fun to look at as they are to eat! I made adorable flower Oreo cookies that take just a few minutes to make and require only three ingredients!
To make your own, the first thing that you’ll need are Oreo cookies (of course!), and to dip the cookies, you’ll need Wilton candy melts in your choice of colors.
(I used yellow and orange, but they’re available in an entire rainbow of colors!)
Wilton flower icing decorations are a quick and easy topper for the dipped cookies. The icing flowers are available in lots of different shapes, sizes, and styles – I used white daisies, daisy minis, and rainbow minis for my springtime Oreos.
Melt the candy in the microwave in 20 second increments, and then use a fork to dip the Oreo cookies one at a time into the melted candy.
Place the cookie on to a parchment paper lined baking tray, and top with an icing flower. Allow the cookie to rest at room temperature until the candy is hardened and firm (about 30 minutes). Easy peasy, and super cute!
These pretty cookies are perfect for spring, and they would make a great hostess gift for Easter brunch!
I seriously want to make floral cookies for every occasion now (they would be adorable for a bridal or baby shower!). With all of the different varieties of Wilton icing flowers and the rainbow of candy melt colors, there are literally hundreds of flower/color combinations that I’d love to try!
I served these sweet flower Oreos at a Spring Break playdate the other day, and they were a huge hit! I can’t wait to make more!
